Villa Description
This jewel of Andalusian architecture dating back to 1492, is set deep in the heart of the Spanish hinterland between the coast (1/2 hour's drive) and Granada (1 hour's drive). Located at the end of a scenic tropical valley. The mansion is set in a private, quiet and peaceful setting totally away from the hustle and bustle of the coast and nearest towns. A very exclusive and unforgettable location for that special holiday in the sun. The property comprises the mansion where most of the accommodation is located, a separate cottage with two twin bedrooms, spacious ornamental gardens, private chapel, tennis court, several large terraces, outside summer bar/eating area, 30ft spring fed swimming pool (heating optional for winter/autumn use), all surrounded by magnificent unspoiled views of the hillside and valley. The property is ideal for the larger family holiday with friends. It can also be an exclusive venue for that special wedding in our own private chapel followed by an alfresco reception in the Moorish gardens.

Features & Amenities
The chapel was constructed around 1890 by the De Castro family, owners of the Palacete de Cázulas and its surrounding estate since the 16th century. Its last surviving member, the Marquesa de Montenaro y Barcinas, dedicated the chapel to the Virgin of Lourdes after a pilgrimage to Lourdes cured her of cancer. She also built a small grotto beside the chapel which contains a statue of the saint.
Over the last few years the chapel has been fully restored to its former glory. A delightful statue of the Virgin of Lourdes presides over the altar which is more than two centuries old. Carved and colorful saints look down from the walls and the original plain marble font stands beside the entrance. The chapel's lofty vaulted roof and high windows provide the correct subtle lighting and atmosphere for an intimate ceremony. (Power outlets are available for extra photographic lighting or taped music.)
